I always get asked, Zion how do you motivate yourself to go to the gym everyday?
My answer is, I have a dedication to becoming the strongest version of myself and showing others they can become the strongest version of themselves too.
That’s my reason why.
Remind yourself of YOURS!
Fitness is always viewed as something to make ourselves look better, which yes, sure, fitness can change you into the way YOU want to look but…
It’s more than that.
Every time I don’t have the full motivation to walk into the gym I remind myself…
It’s a mind transformation.
Fitness teaches you to do things, even when you don’t want to do them.
It shows you a physical affirmation of what doing the work and staying dedicated to a goal can accomplish.
Sure, you can get a body transformation that can last for weeks or months, but the physical appearance of a body is temporary.
You know what isn’t? .
The dedication you acquire to go chase your goals when you’re tired.
The internal drive you have to muster up to put in the work when things look bleak.
The self discipline and self love you have for yourself to say “Hey! I love you too much to not see you reach your goals over a temporary problem!”.
The self love to say “I started this because I want to be a better me!”.
All these mental advancements from just going to the gym can show up everywhere in your daily life by just reminding yourself of your reasons WHY!
Such as:
- Relationships.
- Friendships.
- Jobs & Careers.
- Health & Fitness.
- Lifestyle Changes.
- Your passion.
- The love you have for yourself.
When you’re lacking motivation ask yourself and remind yourself…
WHY you started to begin with, that’s where your fire is!
Remind yourself it’s more than just looking good for two months on the beach with abs.
Remind yourself this is all to build a better you.
Motivation will always fade from day to day, but the person you become, the skill you develop, and the internal dedication to loving yourself will last a lifetime.
Motivation is fickle, but dedication will last a lifetime.
